FAQ
Common Questions
How much does an event photographer cost in Washington DC?
Event photography pricing ranges from $300-$500/hr, depending on the consecutive number of hours and days.
Do you have a special rate for non-profits?
I do! Reach out to me to learn more about this.
How are the photos delivered?
Any way you'd like! I normally deliver your event photos via Dropbox or an online gallery.
Do you bring backup equipment?
I never work without backup equipment. I bring extra camera bodies, lenses, and lighting equipment to cover any eventuality.
How long have been in the meeting business?
I've been photographing events since 2017!
Do you have any references?
Certainly! Please get in touch with me and I'll be happy to put you in touch with a prior client.
Do you offer an on-site headshot studio?
I offer a variety of headshot and portrait options for corporate events, ranging from a quick shot, to longer sessions allowing for a wide range of poses and styles. You can read more about that at District Headshots.
How many photos will I receive?
Typically 50–100 edited photos per hour of coverage, though the final count depends on the nature of the event and how much is happening. A fast-paced conference with multiple sessions will naturally yield more than a smaller, more intimate gathering.
Do you travel outside of Washington DC?
Yes! I travel within a one-hour radius of DC without any travel fees. Beyond that I charge mileage, and for longer trips airfare and lodging are added to the quote. Just reach out and we can discuss the details for your event.
Is your style candid or posed?
I excel at candid photography — capturing natural moments and genuine interactions as they happen. That said, I offer a mixture of both, and the proportion of candid to posed shots is something we'll discuss before the event based on your needs and preferences.
Do you need a shot list?
A shot list is helpful but not required. What I do need is a schedule — knowing where to be and when is essential for making sure nothing important gets missed. The more logistical detail you can share in advance, the better.
