What's the Dumbarton House?
The Dumbarton House was built around 1800 and was converted a museum in 1932. Preservation is ongoing and any event hosted there supports that effort. It's located in Georgetown and provides "stately, charming, and elegant" vibes for your wedding of event. It's been featured in Martha Stewart Wedding and in the Washington Post as "Best Historic Wedding Venue" in Washington, DC.
Event Spaces
There are a variety of spaces available for your wedding and wedding portraits, including The North Garden, The Upper Terrace and East Park, and the Belle Vue Room and Lower Terrace.
The Dumbarton House can accommodate anywhere between 110 and 200 guest, depending on the setup.

Dumbarton House Wedding Cost
Wedding pricing for hosting your wedding or event at the Dumbarton House is as follows:
- Private rentals can be scheduled after 9:00 a.m. Monday through Thursday, and after 3:00 p.m. on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays
- $900.00 per hour for peak season (April 1- July 14; September 1 – November 17)
- $700.00 per hour for off-peak season (January 1 – March 31; July 15 – August 31; November 18 – December 31)
